Sketching
I started sketching some of the flowers I want to paint. I usually sketch when I get home, and I feel like that's not enough time. I have a sketch book so I've decided that I'm going to start carrying my sketch book around with me so I can doodle and sketch whenever I have any free time. I also doodle on practically all of my papers in class so I've decided that whenever I have the urge to doodle then I'm going to draw one of the flowers I want to get better at. The next step in my project is to create a rough draft of my mural. I also need to start looking around town and getting in contact with people who I'm interested creating a mural for. I also need to start thinking about how to come across enough money to pay for paint supplies. I'm thinking of getting in contact with West Ranch's very own art teacher and asking if she knows of any ways I can fund my project. The two things that are going to be the toughest in the next few weeks are finding a place and finding funds. What I've learned about myself is that I'm horribly embarrassed to share with my friends and family my sketches. This is a setback because I'm going to end up making something for everyone in Santa Clarita to see. I need to become more comfortable with my sketches, however I haven't found out how to do that yet. Below I have pictures of just a few of my very first sketches and attempts to draw the specific flowers I want to.
